Our vision for South Molton Triangle is to create a new office, retail, restaurant, leisure & destination of international significance. It will achieve exemplar environmental standards and provide a unique, always evolving, gateway into Mayfair. Its long-term success lies in harnessing the local character and identity of Mayfair. It will welcome a broader demographic through world leading design, dynamic tenant mix and excellent transport links.
By way of an update on the project, as many of you know Westminster City Council resolved to grant planning permission at the end of last year. We are now in the process of finalising our Section 106 agreement and continuing with detailed design work up to the start of demolition and construction work. This is not due to start until Autumn 2022, in line with the expected timeframes, however you may start to see some activity around the site as surveys continue. We will of course contact anyone who this directly affects, albeit we expect disruption to be kept to a minimum during this time.
The Grosvenor team is now led by Simon Armstrong and supported by Steve Gilchrist, David Semple & Alex Clarke. They have all worked at Grosvenor for several years and may be familiar to many of you already, through their work on previous projects across Mayfair. They are very excited for this next phase of the project and look forward to meeting many of you over the course of the next few months.
As the project moves closer to starting construction, the team will be in contact with people living and working locally to discuss the construction management plan. We’d also like to get your thoughts and ideas on some operational and detailed design elements of the scheme. We’ll share more details of how we propose to work with you over the coming months and will make sure details are included in future newsletters.
As always, the latest news can be found on the project website www.southmoltontriangle.com but if you do have a question please don’t hesitate to contact the team directly via the contact information on the website.
