Thursday 30 March | 2 sittings at 1.30pm and 4.30pm
The next event in The Beaumont’s series of Afternoon Tea Talks & Live Illustration Demonstrations by the best-known fashion illustrators of the present day, will be on Thursday 30 March with the legendary Gladys Perint Palmer.
GPP (as she is known) was awarded her first Vogue cover in the 1960s and most recently her work has been commissioned for inclusion in the exhibition ‘Crown to Couture’ that opens at Kensington Palace in London in April 2023.
In an intimate and relaxed setting, listen to her reminiscences (and gossip) about her remarkable work with John Galliano, Alexander McQueen and Miuccia Prada, as well as some of the great fashion editors, including Anna Wintour. She will be interviewed by Connie Gray, the curator for Gray M.C.A. Gallery, the leading international art gallery in the specialist art field of original fashion illustration.
And whilst guests enjoy a Full English Afternoon Tea with a glass of Gusbourne Blanc de Blancs they can watch ‘GPP’ demonstrate live with a fashion model how she interprets the elegance, poise and beauty of haute couture fashion through her masterful brushstrokes.
