Channel your inner Bond girl with Jenny Packham

To celebrate the upcoming 60^th anniversary of James Bond, Jenny Packham has collaborated with EON Productions to create an exclusive collection of eveningwear. Comprised of eight designs, each dress pays homage to the legacy of a powerful female character, alongside two styles inspired by Packham’s original pieces featured in ‘Die Another Day’ and ‘Casino Royale.’

‘’The Bond movies have been the cinematic constant of my life and their glamour has always inspired me,” says designer Jenny Packham. “So, when I am asked to describe a highlight in my career – to see one of my designs in a Bond film is absolutely one of them. From Ursula Andress walking out of the ocean in her white bikini with a knife strapped to her hip to Caterina Murino in Casino Royale draped in sultry pomegranate satin, the fashions of the Bond women are unique and timeless. Creating a collection of Bond inspired gowns in collaboration with EON Productions has been an incredible.’’

Shot on location at Isabel Mayfair by photographer Greg Williams, the designs encapsulate the high-octane glamour of 007’s world. Customers can shop the collection from 5th October at Jenny Packham’s Mount Street store to celebrate James Bond Day.

Inspired by the red gown worn by Sylvia Trench during a game of Baccarat when the agent first introduces himself as ‘Bond… James Bond,’ this one-shouldered scarlet chiffon gown has a bow detail and crystal-embellished belt.

Goldfinger

This caped gown is embellished with folded sequins and crystals dazzling on a base of glitter tulle with a plunging neckline and is inspired by the iconic image of Jill Masterson painted in gold laying on James Bond’s bed.

The Spy Who Loved Me

Evolved from the iconic midnight-blue style worn by Major Anya Amasova with crystal-embellished straps; the gown has been re-created in a soft crepe with the addition of a flowing silk-chiffon cape.

Octopussy

Inspired by a piece worn by Maud Adams, this wrap-over gown has been recreated as a beaded silver dress highlighted with rainbowed crystals featuring a waterfall draping and a high split.

Tomorrow Never Dies

This black crepe style with an illusion bodice is finished with scattered with silver crystals, and is inspired by the 90s fashion of cut-out details and shaping indicative of this era.

The World is Not Enough

Paying homage to the explosive imagery of the film’s promotional poster and plot, this halter-neck gown is designed to imitate a flame and the inspiration ignited a design of ombre embellishments.

Die Another Day

A recreation of an original Jenny Packham design created in collaboration with Oscar-winning cos- tume designer Lindy Hemmings. Worn by Miranda Frost (played by Rosamund Pike) at the Ice Palace, this one-shouldered tulle dress is covered in transparent sequins and silver beads; the neckline cascades with fringed crystals.

Casino Royale

A second recreation of an original Jenny Packham design created in collaboration with Oscar-winning costume designer Lindy Hemming and worn by the character Solange in the film (played by Caterina Murino); the dress became a best-selling style with its pomegranate heavy silk-satin with strapped-up back and delicate embellishments.
