This time of year often leaves us feeling run down and tired, so we’ve got great news for you. The elegant Spa at The Beaumont is offering a choice of nourishing hammam treatments perfect for both body and soul.

Providing a total physical and emotional detox, the benefits of having a hammam treatment are many. The Beaumont’s basic ‘Signature Hammam Treatment’ starts with time in the hot steam room to moisten the skin and open up pores, and follows with a cleansing with 100% natural black soap with eucalyptus (beneficial for breathing and the lungs, with its antiseptic anti-inflammatory and decongesting properties). Then follows a vigorous full body exfoliation with a traditional kessa glove on the heated marble hammam table, leaving the softest, smoothest skin, beautifully prepared for the treatments to follow. A detoxifying, mineral-rich rhassoul clay body mask is applied to purify, nourish and enrich the skin and the treatment is completed with a rehydration of the skin using 100% pure ultra-rich shea butter, made from the nuts of the vitellaria tree. The immediate benefit of a hammam treatment is that it cleanses the pores of impurities and sloughs off dead skin, revealing the clear, glowing skin beneath. The increase in blood circulation from the kessa glove exfoliation enhances the healthy radiance. Other benefits include deep relaxation, the temporary soothing of muscle pain, respiratory benefits and the release of accumulated stress and tension, resulting in better sleep. Allowing the mind and body to connect, even if only for a short while, will leave a sense of balance and increased energy. The ‘Soothing Hammam Treatment‘ (lasting 90 minutes) supplements the signature hammam by adding a 45 minute massage with warmed shea butter to already relaxed muscles. ‘The Beaumont Hammam Experience‘ of 120 minutes includes a full body massage, as well as a scalp or facial massage.
