Coming in from the cold of Winter Wonderland? After all the fun of the fair, head over the road to Mayfair to warm up and enjoy some of our cosiest bars and restaurants. From low-key pizza and wine to smart cocktails and fine dining, there’s something to suite every taste.
Date Night
After a romantic evening in London’s Hyde Park, where better to head than The Biltmore for a cocktail or two? The five star hotel’s Pine Bar has an incredible menu of winter warmers, alcohol-free drinks and champagne galore if you’re really in the mood to celebrate.
And if you’re feeling peckish afterwards, head over to Scott’s on Mount Street. This world-famous seafood restaurant (with a brilliant vegetarian and vegan menu too) is fully decked out for Christmas to keep you in the festive mood.
A Family Affair
After a day out with the children, comfort food is a must and there’s nowhere better than The Mayfair Chippy for a hearty plate of classic fish and chips. Designed to evoke a traditional seaside chip shop, this North Audley Street favourite is great for the whole family and, if you’re in a hurry to get home, it has a takeaway option too.
If you’re after a warming bowl of pasta or a traditional Italian pizza, we’re big fans of Delfino’s. The family-owned Mount Street establishment has been in place for over sixty years, and its brilliant menu and friendly staff is a testament as to why. Plus, with its child-friendly upstairs section and cosy bar in the basement, it’s a great option for both families, couples, and groups of friends.
Drinks and Dinner with Friends
Heading to Winter Wonderland with friends this December? Mercato Mayfair is the perfect spot to grab a bite to eat before you head to the funfair, or to warm up afterwards. With its wide range of food stalls offering every cuisine you can think of, you can all eat together whilst enjoying a variety of dishes from around the world. Plus, if you’re after a few drinks with your food, try Jim & Tonic for G&T’s or Germankraft for authentic German beer.
The latest addition to Mayfair’s fantastic wine scene, Brooks Mews Wine House is tucked away behind Claridge’s on a tiny, cobbled street. Converted from an old carriage workshop, there’s nowhere more quintessentially Mayfair to stop for a drink and some nibbles – we love the artisanal French and Italian cheese and charcuterie boards that accompany the broad selection of wine on offer.
