Whether culture, cooking or crafts is your thing – or maybe all three – then look no further to some of the brands that call Mayfair and Belgravia home. Full of ideas and recommendations to keep us entertained and occupied over half term.

For the culturally curious, follow the Mayfair Sculpture Trail opening on October 1 where the streets and arcades of Mayfair will be adorned with art and sculpture. You can see Meditation 1554, a large human head constructed from meticulously-assembled bicycle chains by Seo Young-Deok in Grosvenor Square. In Burlington Arcade, Laurent Grasso’s Zechariah’s Vision is a compelling marble structure, adorned with seven staring eyes and visitors can spot Patrick O’Reilly’s Bear with a Bucket striding along Cork Street. Explore the artworks on the streets of Mayfair through SMARTIFY, where you’ll find audio commentary alongside detailed information on each artwork. To find out more visit.

For something more meditative, Masterpeace, a creative retreat in Eccleston Yards, offers a creative space amid the sometimes hectic half term holiday. Drop-in classes remain open for socially-distanced individual bookings, as well as classes that can be booked as individuals or bubbles. Calendar of events includes ‘Mini MasterPeace’ for kids, private bubble classes for families and art kits to embrace your inner painter from home. If that wasn’t enough there are coached classes, calligraphy workshops and a watercolour series to get involved in. Find out more here.

For those with little ones, the Alma Autumn Holiday Camp is back. From 27-30 October, children from 1 to 12 years old can explore everything from musical art and ‘happy gut’ cooking classes to singing bowls, yoga and dance! Whether you are booking your child into an old favourite or trying something new, Alma looks forward to taking that journey with you and your little ones. They will be serving our gut-friendly, plant-based lunches daily, available for our little Alma adventurers as well as Alma mamas. Half-day, full days or just drop-in classes available throughout the duration of camp and full info can be found here. The programs are suitable for kids from 1 to 12-year-olds, divided into three subgroups based on age.
