Where Is North Audley Street and Duke Street In Mayfair?

Duke Street crosses Oxford Street's western half. It's also responsible for connecting Grosvenor Square with Wigmore Street. Not to be confused with the other Duke Street which is situated in the neighbourhood of St. James’ (just South of Mayfair).

North Audley Street is found at the north end of Grosvenor Square and also connects to Oxford Street. Both North Audley and Duke Street run parallel to each other and are often referred to by the joint term 'North Mayfair'.

How To Get To Duke Street and North Audley Street By Tube

Reaching both Duke Street and North Audley Street is simple, should you choose to use the Tube. There are several major lines that run through this area, here are the main ones to consider:

  • Marble Arch Tube Station - approx. 4-6 minute walk.
  • Bond Street Tube Station - approx. 3-5 minute walk.
  • Baker Street Tube Station - approx. 10-12 minute walk.
  • Oxford Circus Tube Station - approx. 8-10 minute walk.
  • Marylebone Tube Station - approx. 8-10 minute walk.
  • Edgware Road Tube Station - approx. 10-12 minute walk

Many of the overland stations also connect to these Tube stations in Central London, so getting to North Audley & Duke Street by tube really is that easy.

For those travelling in from the airports, here are some of the easiest and quickest routes to take:

From Heathrow, you want to get the Piccadilly Line and stop at Green Park. Then switch over to the Jubilee Line and head through to Bond Street which will put you within a 3-5 minute walk of where you want to be.

For Gatwick, you need to get the Thameslink into London through to London Bridge station. From there you’ll want to hop onto the Jubilee line once again heading towards Bond Street.

Finally, if you’re coming from Stansted, you’ll want to get the Stansted Express heading towards Liverpool Street station. You can take two different routes from here. First, if you stop at Tottenham Hale, you’ll be able to cross over to the Victoria Line and get off at Oxford Circus which will then take about 8-10 minutes to walk. The other option is to stay on the Stansted Express to Liverpool Street Station then take the Central Line to Bond Street.

How To Get To Duke Street And North Audley Street By Train

Getting to North Mayfair, both Duke Street and North Audley Street, by train is easy enough too. Since most of the mainline stations connect to the underground. The new Elizabeth line is one of the best ways to travel from outside London.

You can also travel more locally from St. Pancras and Victoria Station too if you don’t fancy taking the underground the whole way.

How To Get To Duke Street And North Audley Street By Bus

There are several buses you can take in order to reach Duke Street and North Audley Street. Here are the main bus routes for that area:

You’ll want to get off at the Selfridges bus stop on Oxford Street in order to get to either North Audley or Duke Street.

How To Get To Duke Street And North Audley Street By Car

Travelling to North Audley or Duke Street is easily accessible by car. Just bear mind that with them being in Central London you will likely garner charges as they sit within the Congestion Zone.

That being said, there is plenty of parking available around the area. Street parking is perhaps the easiest to find but this can fill up quickly especially during busy periods.

As an alternative, there is a 24-hour car parking area that is located at London Grosvenor Hill NCP for a safer way to park while you enjoy your day out in North Mayfair.

North Mayfair is extremely cycle friendly with a number of cycle routes to get you there plus several parking locations when you arrive. So, you can keep your bike safe whilst you enjoy a fun day out.

There are also several Santander Cycle docking stations you can take advantage of. These are located in North Audley Street as well as South Audley Street. They can also be found on Grosvenor Square, Farms Street and Woodstock Street.
