I loved the prospect of going to one of my favourite areas in London for this shoot. Mayfair, and particularly Mount Street is so glamorous and uplifting. It always feels like a treat when I go there, like taking time out of life somehow.
I wanted to select a real variety of outfits and styles; something for everyone! It was so hard to pick as there were so many wonderful dresses and outfits to choose from among Mayfair’s tenants, but here is my selection:
I love this Roksanda look – bright, cool, colourful and original. It’s so bold, but also relaxed and confident. You can dress it down or dress it up – change a classic tote shopper to a little gold evening clutch; flats to a high heel wedge…own it! It shouts confidence and style.
This blue Huishan Zhang dress is SO beautiful! I mean who wouldn’t want to wear this? It’s gorgeous, an ultimate piece of occasion-wear. Imagine turning up to a ball or a black tie event in this, you would feel absolutely amazing. It’s such a one off, and the colour is dazzling. A bird of Paradise in all the right ways. It looks so good styled with these metallic green Christian Louboutin shoes and stunning earrings and ring from Stephen Webster, which remind me of 1970s Studio 54 discos days!
This pale slip dress by Roksanda reminds of all sorts of good things; Courtney Love in the 1990s – classic glamorous grunge, but also parred down movie star elegance, or a glossy Kate Moss in the 90s. I LOVE the colour, it’s so chic. Wear with a little silver sparkly evening clutch and silver diamante sandals. Also great with trainers for a dressed down look!
This Erdem is one of my favourite dresses EVER. It reminds me of something from a fairytale, or a medieval warrior princess. It’s beyond pretty. I think it could also be a wonderful wedding dress; I love the vintage tea colour with the sparkles. A total demure showstopper. Silver delicate accessories all the way with this one.
This baby pink Roksanda is super elegant. Understated glamour – I love the volume juxtaposed by the slit down one side – it’s definitely a bit naughty! Again, dress it up or dress it down for any occasion, just mix and match with accessories. The Christian Louboutin stilettos add a bit of demure chic.
The Marni dress to me is pure boho cool – amazing with trainers, wedges or high heels. This dress is one of the wonderful pieces that you can wear to so many events and occasions; from a wedding (add a lovely brown straw hat or trilby) to an art gallery opening or on a date. It shrieks of personality and style. LOVE.
